Sam is a writer and artist from Florida currently residing in Seattle, Washington. Over the past decade, he has moved from Rwanda, where he served as a US Peace Corps Education Volunteer, to Seattle where he worked primarily as a bookseller before studying for a Master’s in Journalism at New York University, living in Mexico during the pandemic, and returning to Seattle in 2023.
Beginning at a young age, writing is the practice to which Sam most frequently returns and one that acts as scaffolding for his more recently adopted practices of sculpture and design. His writing explores a wide range of topics, including spirituality, drug experiences, literature, film, food, travel, and more.
